These finely handcrafted items are made from oak wine barrel staves from the Margaret River Wine Region. The solid wood of an oak wine barrel has a very distinctive element of charm that is conveyed into every object we create. The natural arch of a barrel stave confers striking finesse to the silhouette of each of our designs.
Every individual barrel carries the signs of its unique history in every stave. As no one-barrel stave or band is the same, each piece might show natural imperfections, slight variations in color, grain & dimensions, all adding to the uniqueness of every item.
Perfect as an original gift idea, or as a very elegant addition to your garden, verandah or courtyard, you can plant numerous vegies in the 1 planter or citrus trees or frangapani to name a few.
Each one is individually handcrafted sanded back to its original wood and creatively reinvented with its rustic charm, this particular planter is also treated and oiled and as you will see it is also edged so your edge has a round smooth finish. Be wary of some planters that are not sanded or finished they are merely just cut in half. The oil will protect your planter for years to come.
We also offer planters that are natural, however they are sanded and edged also just not oiled.
Each planter has a few holes drilled in the botttom for drainage so you are ready to start planting.
Width is between 700-800mm and Depth between 430-500mm however no 2 are exactly the same and is a guide only.
Planters are also available for Hire for weddings, parties or occassions - please contact me for a quote.
Planters can also be used for - wood buckets (inside & out), drinks tubs (just line with plastic), fish ponds, water features and much more.
